Easy for me to say. I’m not a show producer, I’m just a supplier. A supplier who has seen every show for the next two months cancel or postpone. And I know there are plenty of people who have it worse off than me.
But there are reasons to be optimistic in the long run. In a mere two months China seems to be past the worst of its epidemic, most people seem to be taking the self-quarantine seriously, and the federal government is in the midst of passing massive relief packages. I’m confident we can get through this if we just hunker down and keep our cool.
I’ve always admired the “stiff upper lip” perfected by the British in World War II, during the Blitz. Now’s our chance to show that we can do the same. And we’re not even being bombed. Think of it as 8 weeks of Netflix and Chill.
So what are we doing here at Bartizan? With the leadership of our excellent technical team, we’ve come up with an ONLINE EXHIBIT HALL that is both easy to implement very quickly and inexpensive.
Here’s how it works right now:
- Each exhibitor is sent a link to Bartizan’s iLeads on line web portal where they complete an exhibitor profile. Their profile can include links to the exhibitor’s web site, show offers, social media channels or other information.
- After this is done, we send a single link to every registered attendee inviting them to come see the exhibitors on the virtual show floor.
- The attendee views all of the exhibitor profiles. They can see more information whichever exhibitors interest them, click on the links, and answer survey questions.
- Exhibitors can log onto LeadsLightning and see which attendees visited them, what links they clicked and the answers to their survey questions.
If you’re interested, this is a process that takes days, not weeks. We are constantly upgrading the system as well.
Of course, we know some shows, such as medical shows, will need to cancel because their attendees have better things to do (like saving our lives). But for the rest of us, we invite you to join Bartizan (or the supplier of your choice) and pivot to virtual!
